Now their only hope was Emma.

After spending a month in hospital.......Emma's body physically recovered. But she didn't speak ....she was lifeless .....her breathing was the only sign of life that was left in her.Her friends visited her often.....tried to cheer her ...make her speak but all theirs efforts failed. After two months she was discharged.....still suffering from trauma of that incident & Post traumatic stress disorder her condition was fragile.& The doctors suggested extra care & therapy sessions for her. Her dad who also came back after hearing this news now took her daughter's care . She wasn't left alone not even for a single second. Her friends often brought her flowers & gifts sat with her & made monologue conversations.

Stephanie visited her every single day & took her out . But she lay lifeless in that wheelchair. That young beautifully & bubbly girl was now lost in the world of darkness. There's no hope left for her . The echoes of her laughter & her lively presence were now memories of the past which faded day by day. That bright face lost all its glow & only scars were left in place. The sweet voice was now lost............The police, when lost all leads soon claimed that this was done by a serial rapist.......& due to lack of suspects her case was sidelined. The police visits to her home also declined over the two months . Emma's condition didn't show any sign of recovery. The presence of lovely & beautiful Emma was lost in the mist of endless pain & trauma . She was now a living dead !!!!

A few more months passed .........its been nine months now. Five months earlier DAN left the town to move in with his grandfather who lives 300 miles away. Stephanie got bust with her senior year & other of Emma's friends visited her once in month. The therapy sessions slowly helped her heal physically & mentally. And today as she came home from one of the sessions her mother helped her out of the car. She no longer needed wheelchairs. She was weak but could walk . It's been over nine months since Emma uttered even a single word. As her mother pushed the door aside for her to enter ......she clutched her hand. To her mothers surprise she could feel the life & bit of strength in her daughter's grip. Resisting the tears that eagerly waited to roll down her cheeks she glanced at her daughter. The words " mum" fell out of her mouth & she broke in her mothers arms. Her tears burst & she cried for hours in her mothers lap. She just cried.........as all the trauma would wash out as her tears. When she stopped she started speaking......her mom had numerous questions but when Emma started speaking .....all the questions were answered.

"That night when Josh & Stephanie dropped Emma ........she was kidn*pped by a masked person .....he forcefully drugged her . & took her somewhere ......there she was punched badly her face distorted........& severely kicked . The person showed no mercy ......& did inhuman things ......& when she thought he would choke her to death .....he left ........she couldn't even move a finger under the influence of the intoxicants. She was hit with a baseball bat with a small black dragon sticker on its heavy end. & when the hits stopped ......he crawled over her skin ......tore her clothes apart and forced himself on her ......she could just feel all the pain but could do nothing to protect herself. Those fingers traced all her body. He r***d her brutally & there was nothing she could remember of that person .....except his eyes. As she was fighting for her life she could feel him pushing inside her . Her eyes closed & she remembered nothing more. "

Her petrified mother ........couldn't believe her ears . The thought that Her daughter went through all this shocked her.......But now there was hope that she'll get back her daughter. The police recorded her statement .......they gently questioned her & made sure their interrogations won't effect her mental state .After a few days Her friends gathered to meet her .There were flowers & gifts everywhere. Everyone was in tears.....Each of her friends hugged her & took turns in conversing with her. When Dan came towards her & hugged her he whispered in her ears " I've got a surprise for you ". After a few hours when the friends left Emma's mother started opening her gifts to help her feel good.

Emma was smiling for the very first time in last ten months . Emma mother handed her Dan's gift "well! this was the surprise he was talking about ?!". Emma unwrapped the rectangular box & there lay a basket ball with a small sticker which seemed familiar to her. After staring it for few more minutes ......she fell to the ground & her body underwent Epileptic seizures ........her mother was screaming .....but she could hear nothing.....she was completely numb .....her eyelids rolled up & she was unconscious.......

The doctors took her to the Intensive care unit........but it was too late .

She was in coma......& could never be normal was the doctors reply. Her trauma was triggered & her brain couldn't take it. The shock resulted in permanent coma . She lay lifeless in that hospital room. ............Never to get up from that bed. .................

You don't need an explanation to the events of that dark night that changed her forever . She was thrown into a world on immense pain & darkness .Her "No" cost her .......her life !!! We often fail to know the reality behind the faces that seem familiar to us & our lives are threatened when we are least prepared to face such deadly attacks. That night along with her clothes.....her life was ripped off from her body. Along with her hands & legs her self love was wired never to breakfree from the chains of havoc that was caused to her . Although she managed to keep her breaths alive ....her happiness was choked to death along with every hope of her life........she was never to come back again. She was the girl who said NO
