They slept. Fitfully but sleep was so far away from me that I didn’t even try. Even though I knew that it would heal me quicker.
Truth was I felt better already. Even the smallest amounts of Aspens blood had knitted my flesh back together. My skin was sore and scarred but it wasn’t an open bloody mess anymore.
The hunger was still there as well. Ravenous and all consuming but I felt more in control. I could even move without a fire storm of agony engulfing me.
There was another fire raging inside. One that surprised me but shouldn’t.
I wanted her.
Not her blood but her body.
It felt like centuries since I had last been inside of her body.
Such a strange thing to want, the pleasure of her soft human body when we were literally in hell but there was no denying it.
