“Do you think she’s ok?” I asked no one in particular. And as expected no one answered me. The vampires Thane and Emrys didn’t even look up from their quiet talking sat under the window and Ben was too busy pacing back and forth in front of the door.
Behind that door Aspen was being checked out by one of the pack doctors. She had been in there for hours. And not once had that door opened and an updated been given.
It was driving me crazy. The not knowing.
“She will be fine.” Thane said suddenly taking me by surprise. I turned to him in shock.
“You don’t know that for sure,”
Shaking his head Thane stood up. “Yes I can. I’ve known Aspen a long time now. She’s been through worse than this and she always comes through.”
I frowned. “How has she been through worse than this?”
