“Blu-” She faltered and giggled again. There was a smile on her face that made the sun look dim in comparison. “Green.”
Lifting myself up on my elbow, I reached for her hair, twirling a strand of it around my finger idly. It was soft. Freshly washed and dried in the sunlight that had been streaming through her windows.
“You changed your mind pretty quickly there. Do you not have a favourite colour?”
She blushed, the pink tint to her cheeks made her look younger. More innocent. But the woman lying next to me hadn't been innocent for a long time. She had seen too much death for that.
“It was blue.” She admitted. “But now i think it's green like your eyes or-” Reaching up, she ran her fingers through my hair. “Or red.” She blushed an even darker shade of scarlet.
