“Alpha?”
The red haired man who had been holding me so tenderly stepped back so suddenly that I almost tumbled backwards in to the water.
Alpha?
I turned my face towards the men stepping out of the trees. None of their faces were friendly. They were alive so not Vampires , so that was something but they weren’t fully human either.
Alpha?
That’s what they had called him and that meant- my eyes swivelled to find my red haired savior and I frowned. He was a shifter but then I should have realised that before. How could he be anything but one. There was so much life coursing through his veins. He thrummed with it. The real question was what kind of shifter.
“She’s under my protection.” Protectively he stepped in front of me. Shielding me from their hostile gazes. A low growl rumbl
