Emrys Thane had been my brother in all the ways that mattered for centuries. I knew him better than I even knew myself. He was strong, willful, at times stubborn to a fault . He was none of those things now though. He wasn’t strong. He was broken. Like a child curled up in the corner of our cell. His body heaved and shook.
