Lena’s POV
It was almost eleven pm, and I was still waiting here for Jana. She was supposed to meet us here at ten-thirty, but she texted that something had come up. I didn’t know what it was, but Phillip said she was upset when he spoke to her. I didn’t like to hear that at all. Most are unwilling to help others, especially if they are angry. I was nervous here anyway because she is a vampire. I was already worried before he told me that she was upset. He had to leave me here to go catch up with his patrol. He had used one of his breaks to meet her with me. I am absolutely terrified at the moment.
