Cara’s POV
The shock on their faces was not faked. They hadn’t admitted to it to anyone. They were absolutely stunned that I had just called them out on it. I heard them. I knew what they had done. I also knew that they would not ever admit it to me or anyone. They turned to look at each other.
I guess they were trying to gauge who had told their secret, never realizing that it had been an accident. I just happened to overheard them discussing it. It was almost amusing to watch as they tried to speak with their eyes as they assessed each other. We knew that they were guilty; they didn’t have to admit it.
