The rock in front of Leo exploded, sending shards flying and raising a cloud of dust.
I frowned. I didn't have much time to aim for this shot, and I missed the target.
Leo, narrowly escaping death, screamed in terror. He fell to the ground, trembling. I saw that he had wet his pants, as a puddle quickly formed beneath him. The b*stard had pissed himself in fear.
Sam probably realized that his bow was no match for my gun. Blindly shooting arrows would not only waste them, but it also increased the risk of getting shot by me. So, he hid behind the rock and didn't come out.
Leo, who had been hiding behind a rock near Sam, was too scared to stay alone after my shot. He looked at Sam pleadingly, "Sam, I... I'll come over to you!" His legs were shaking so badly that he couldn't stand up and had to crawl towards Sam, dragging his urine-soaked lower body.
Sam was about to reach out and pull him up when I fired another shot, hitting Leo's outstretched hand. The bullet's power shattered half of his hand, blood and flesh splattering everywhere. Leo screamed in pain, clutching his hand and rolling on the ground.
It startled even Sam. He quickly pulled back his hand and started thinking of ways to escape.
"Sam! Help me! I'm going to die!" Leo, driven insane by the pain and adrenaline, stood up and ran towards Sam.
Seeing Leo running towards him like a human shield, Sam's eyes twitched. He grabbed Leo and used him as a cover, retreating backward. Leo, being tall and fat, shielded Sam completely. Leo was too weak to resist. Seeing that Sam was hiding well, I didn't want to waste time, so I shot Leo in the stomach.
Leo screamed in agony, blood pouring out, his face full of unwillingness and despair. Sam, seeing that Leo was no longer useful, threw him aside and escaped into the forest while I was reloading.
I glanced up and saw the shadow darting through the dark forest. I quickly raised my gun and fired. The shadow hesitated, seemingly hit, but then ran even faster and disappeared. It seemed that my shot hadn't hit a vital spot. I felt frustrated that I had let Sam get away!
"Damn!" I cursed angrily. "He's fast!"
This guy was very cunning. Letting him escape would cause trouble in the future. The camp was now only filled with the half-dead Leo and those terrified women, who likely posed no threat to me. Holding my gun, I rushed out.
"Zack, it's a misunderstanding! Don't kill me. It was all Sam's idea. I've already turned over a new leaf!" Leo cried out miserably, begging for mercy.
I saw that he had lost a lot of blood. His face was as pale as paper, yet he was pleading for his life. His will to live was strong, but I wasn't going to give him another chance. The last incident left me regretting this day. This time, there would be no mistakes.
I pulled out my gun and pressed it to his forehead. "I never intended to kill you, but you brought this on yourself by attacking me first!" I said calmly, pulling the trigger amidst Leo's regretful and desperate expression. With a bang, Leo's head exploded, and he fell to the ground.
'I don't believe he can come back to life this time.' Leo had tried to harm me multiple times. I couldn't take it anymore. If I didn't kill him today, I might end up dead at his hands someday. Such a threat couldn't be left alive. As for breaking the law, if rescue ever came, that would be a problem for the future. Tonight, I would make sure to dispose of the body and the evidence thoroughly, leaving no trace.
After shooting Leo, I cautiously approached the forest where Sam had fled. I wanted to confront him face-to-face and see if I had ever wronged him! Unfortunately, besides a pool of blood, I didn't find any trace of Sam. Holding on to the thought of eliminating the threat, I began to follow the blood trail. After a few steps, I heard several wolf howls from the depths of the forest.
I stopped cautiously. Sam was shot, so he probably wouldn't survive in the beast-filled forest. I couldn't risk my life for this scum. I quickly gave up on tracking him and turned back to search the camp.
In the camp, with the three men either dead or absent, only two women remained. Quinn, the b*tch, had run off long ago. The only ones left were the dancing girl and Crystal. They were huddled in a corner, too scared to move.
Remembering how Crystal had mocked me when she stole my prey, I felt a surge of anger and looked at her coldly.
Crystal trembled in fear and started crying. After all, she had witnessed me kill three people, including William. "Please don't kill me. I'll do anything you want. Just don't kill me!" Crystal pleaded incoherently, trying to seduce me.
I had to admit, she was beautiful. Her tanned skin had a unique allure. I narrowed my eyes in displeasure. Did she think I was moved by her beauty? I hadn't forgotten how she insulted me with William.
"I can do anything too, and I'm also good at dancing!" While I was eyeing Crystal, the dancing girl pressed against me and started a hot dance. As a professional dancer, she indeed danced beautifully.
Crystal became anxious and, to my surprise, she started taking off her clothes and pressed herself against me.
