It was Eva who had returned.

"Uh, Eva? Let me explain." I felt a bit overwhelmed. Eva and I were in a relationship, but she didn't want it to be public.

"There’s no need to explain. It's just that I was out there looking for you, while you are here having a good time!" Eva gave me a side glance.

A tear fell from Eva's eye as she gave me that familiar, bright smile. Then, she began to undress.

I was surprised, and although I didn't trust Susie, her words felt like a lifeline.

"I won't be mad. Just tell me."

Seeing me nod, Susie continued, "Last night, I woke up to go to the bathroom and heard some noises near the spring. When I looked up, I saw a figure jumping down from there. I was so scared! I thought I was seeing a ghost, so I quickly went back to sleep. But now…"

Susie bit her lip and looked at me nervously. "Do you think that shadow last night could have been Eva?"
