Quinn's scream woke everyone up instantly.
She was naked and cowering under me, with clear red marks on her neck from being choked.
Her tears flowed instantly, and within seconds, she was crying like a child.
"Can you have some f*cking dignity?!" I snapped back to my senses and quickly got up.
I glared at Quinn and said, "You climbed into my bed. What are you trying to do?"
"I should be asking you that!" Stella rushed in front of Quinn like an angry lioness, blocking her.
She stared at me angrily, her eyes filled with disappointment. "Zack! I just started to trust you, but now..." Stella's voice trembled, and she quickly stopped herself from crying.
"Stella, when did you ever trust me?" I laughed bitterly. "Aren't you the one who always doubts me?"
I pointed at Quinn, who was curled up by the fire and sobbing pitifully. "You'd rather believe her? She was in league with Leo!"
Stella's eyes flickered, seeing that I wasn't lying, and she wavered.
"Zack! How can you say that?" Quinn cried, her tears flowing like a river."You try to r**e me and then say it's my fault!"
"Is it because I'm a woman?" Quinn tried to cover her naked body with the grass mat, crying miserably.
Stella's expression turned ugly again as she glared at me with hatred. "I won't believe you!"
"You don't believe me, but you have to believe the evidence, right?" I said, turning to the other girls. I pointed at Quinn's neatly folded clothes by her grass mat.
"If I was trying to r**e her, would her clothes still be intact?" I sneered, "She undressed herself and climbed into my bed!"
"No, I didn't!" Quinn denied, looking flustered.
I squinted my eyes and laughed, "So are you saying I would take off your clothes without damaging them and then neatly fold them for you?" I pointed at the tidy pile of clothes and questioned Quinn.
Stella instantly fell silent.
Mandy's expression grew serious as she glared coldly at Quinn. "No wonder you're Leo's lover; you're both trash."
Even Zoe, who was always cheerful, had a disappointed look on her face. "Quinn, how could you slander Zack? Without him, you would've starved to death!"
Stella looked at me, then at Quinn, who was still trying to defend herself and felt like a fool being used.
"Zack, I misunderstood you earlier. I'm sorry," Stella said. I knew she was impulsive but kind-hearted; otherwise, she wouldn't have stood up for Quinn. I shook my head, not holding it against her.
"Quinn, I made it clear earlier. I won't let you stay," I said firmly, pointing at the cave entrance. "I won't hurt you, but you can't take anything from here. Now, get out. Don't let me see you again!"
Realizing that even giving up her most valuable asset, her body, didn't soften my heart, Quinn knew there was no chance for her to stay. She hid the deep hatred in her eyes, gathered her clothes, and left the cave under my watchful gaze.
As I watched her shivering in the cold wind, I felt no emotion at all.

Quinn, dressed thinly, was freezing once she left the cave. She thought the tall trees in the forest might block the wind, so she walked into the woods. However, she had never ventured into the forest before, so she got lost within half an hour.
In the pitch-black woods, the howls of wolves echoed. Quinn collapsed in despair under a tree, isolated and helpless, her fear growing exponentially.
The temperature dropped further, and Quinn gradually lost consciousness under the tree.
"Quinn? Wake up!" A familiar voice called, shaking her awake. She opened her eyes and saw Leo. Tears were streaming down her face. "Leo, you're alive!"
Before Leo could speak, Quinn threw herself into his arms, crying uncontrollably.
"Why are you here?" Leo asked.
"That b*stard Zack kicked me out because I was with you! He said you fell off a cliff accidentally and died!" Quinn cried out.
Leo's eyes filled with deep hatred. "Accidentally? My ass! He pushed me off the cliff! If someone hadn't saved me..."
"What?" Quinn looked shocked.
Leo sneered, "Since I survived, I swear I'll kill him! Let's go find the person who saved me."
"But before we kill him, we need to take all his good stuff," Quinn said, calming down. "Zack and the others have gathered a lot of food and supplies. With them, we could last for a long time."
Leo nodded in agreement, then led Quinn deeper into the forest, seemingly plotting something.
Their figures quickly disappeared into the darkness.

After Quinn left, life in the cave continued as usual.
The weather outside the cave remained bitterly cold. The biting chill cleared my remaining drowsiness, making me fully alert.
I had to check the traps today. So I headed to where I set them up yesterday.
Surprisingly, the small fish I left on the first trap had disappeared! The branches and dirt covering the trap had also collapsed. In the pit, a large rat was looking at me warily.
The creature looked like a rat, but it was as big as a large cat, with thicker fur. I thought its fur could be used to make some clothes. I killed the rat quickly and moved on to the other two traps.
One trap was untouched, but the other had its bait gone while the grass and branches remained intact. I guessed an insect or a small bird had taken the bait.
After some thought, I placed a large fish in one trap reluctantly. I used a knife to make several cuts on the fish, spreading its scent more effectively.
Then I hid in the nearby bushes.
Not long after, there was a sudden rustling sound from the bushes. I looked over cautiously.
The furry wolves appeared! Four furry wolves were approaching the trap, one after the other. Their fur was thick and white, looking warm and beautiful.
Though attracted by the fish's scent, the furry wolves were cautious, circling the trap but not approaching it.
The blood scent also attracted an old friend, the black eagle, which hovered overhead. And its sharp eyes locked on the fish.
I was sweating nervously, hardly daring to breathe.
The furry wolves realized the black eagle was here to steal their food. The largest one suddenly leaped forward towards the bait I had left!
Sure enough, with a crisp snap, the weight of the large, furry wolf instantly broke the fragile branches, and with a muffled thud, it fell into the trap. What awaited it at the bottom of the trap was not soft soil but sharp spikes!
The male wolf let out a wretched cry. The remaining three smaller female wolves whimpered and circled the trap, unwilling to leave.
The black eagle, realizing it would have to pay with its life to get the fish, screeched and flew away without hesitation.
Although I had a gun, I didn't want to deal with three furry wolves at once. I decided to hunt other prey first and come back after the furry wolves had left. I had to use every moment to gather more food! I didn't even return to the cave to have lunch. Instead, I worked all day until the sun had almost set. Then I returned to the trap.
To my surprise, the three female wolves were still there. Besides, two wolf cubs, each about the size of an arm, had also joined the mother wolves.
Their low, sorrowful howls filled the air.
I couldn't help but feel a bit dazed. 'Aren't we, stranded on this deserted island, just like these furry wolves? Will I end up like this dying furry wolf, lying in front of the girls one day?'
After hesitating for a moment, I pushed aside my pity and took a deep breath. Right now, I could barely protect my own life; the fate of these furry wolves was irrelevant to me.
I raised my Type 38 rifle and aimed at the furry wolf in the trap.
The bullet struck the furry wolf in the chest. It let out a final wail before collapsing, motionless.
