Chapter 53

This meal left everyone completely satisfied. All the girls lay comfortably on the grass beds, rubbing their bellies and chatting happily.

Seeing everyone so happy made me feel very content. I lay on the grass mat, my eyes scanning our cave. Using metal plates from the plane, we built a table and some chairs. The cave floor was covered with straw, and the girls had even made some small decorations in their spare time, giving the cave a bit of a homely feel.

The sense of achievement from creating something out of nothing made each of us genuinely happy.

If we could survive and leave this place, the hardships we endured on this island would be a great treasure for all of us.

That night, the atmosphere in the cave was particularly good.

Even Stella and Crystal, who rarely got along, weren't arguing. The only downside was that the temperature kept dropping. Chilly drafts blew through the gaps in the bamboo door. Despite the bonfire and the warmth of animal skins, we couldn't help but shiver.

"I can't take it anymore. It's so cold. Mandy, I want to sleep with you." Zoe rubbed her hands together and snuggled up to Mandy, burying her head in Mandy's chest.

As I was lost in thoughts of how nice it would be if these women cuddled with me, Stella joined them, making the scene quite pleasant.

Naturally, Crystal didn't want to befriend Stella, so she pulled Susie over to snuggle. The two of them lay together, laughing and talking happily.

The weather was indeed freezing. After a bit of playful laughter, the girls finally warmed up, while I was left alone, with no one paying attention to me.

Lying in the grass bed by myself, I felt a bit depressed. I wanted to join in and cuddle with them.

'You are ignoring me! This is unfair and not good for our future on this island!' I harbored a belly full of complaints, but I could only sigh and huddle under thick clothes to stay warm.

Suddenly, Crystal noticed me lying alone. She tilted her head in thought, then opened her animal skin coat quickly and jumped towards me.

Crystal was incredibly bold, wearing only minimal underwear underneath, leaving me momentarily stunned.

To my great disappointment, Stella and Zoe stopped Crystal before she could jump on me.

Mandy also grabbed Crystal's arm and scolded her fiercely, "Do you have no shame? Everyone is here. What do you think you're doing?"

"I'm just worried about Zack being cold. What if he gets sick? Who will go hunting then?" Crystal snorted, shaking off the other girls' hands. She turned and hooked her arm around mine, giving Stella and Mandy a triumphant look.

"Are you cold?" Stella asked, her mouth twitching in anger as she glared at me. Her eyes clearly warned me that if I dared to say I was cold, she would kill me on the spot.

I was very familiar with this look. I had seen Stella put on this cold face many times back at the office. But this wasn't the office, and I wasn't afraid of Stella anymore. I decided to speak my mind boldly.

"I'm cold! I need a warm embrace," I said bluntly.

Crystal looked even more smug after hearing this. She wrapped her arms around my waist and rested her head on my chest. "Zack, I'm here. Can I hug you?"

Stella was too angry to speak. She took two steps forward and pinched my waist hard, twisting it until tears came to my eyes. 'Why don't you use that strength when you're working?'

Mandy's eyes were also full of anger, and the atmosphere became tense.

I started to hesitate. Crystal had her desires clearly written on her face, and if I shared a bed with her, I feared I wouldn't be able to control myself. But Crystal was so arrogant that all the other girls, except Susie, couldn't stand her. If I got together with Crystal now, I couldn't imagine how unbearable she would become later on.

'The other girls would probably start fighting among themselves. How would we live together like that?' Thinking about the possible future scenarios and my miserable life, I couldn't help but shiver.

I cleared my throat immediately and put on a serious expression, pushing Crystal away. "Crystal, don't do this."

Crystal looked confused, but I had already put some distance between us. "I'll sleep alone. Everyone, just go to bed. Don't worry about me."

I lay down, trying to brush the incident off, and went to sleep.

"I do think it's a bit cold for Zack to sleep alone." Suddenly, Zoe's soft voice broke the silence.

I was overjoyed hearing this. I wanted to hug Zoe and kiss her. 'This girl is so sweet and considerate!'

"There's no way Crystal can sleep with him! We all know what kind of person she is. I don't want to hear disgusting sounds in the middle of the night and have my ears dirtied," Stella said angrily.

I was awkward. 'Back when Eva was around, you heard plenty. You just didn't know it.'

"How about this, Zack? If you're cold, you can sleep with me," Mandy said, her face slightly flushed but trying to act nonchalant.

Crystal wanted to object, but I almost rushed over and grabbed Mandy's hand. "You do care about me!"

Thinking back, when I was seriously ill, Mandy slept with me to help me recover, so the others didn't have much of an issue with me sleeping next to her.

As it was getting late, I moved my grass bed and joined it with Mandy's and the others'. Mandy was next to me, Zoe was beside Mandy, and Stella was next to Zoe.

"You better behave yourself. Zoe will be watching you. If you try anything with Mandy, we'll castrate you." Stella glared at me fiercely.

I gave a perfunctory response, not wanting to argue with her. She had been like this ever since we arrived on the island. 'Even if Mandy and I had something going on, it would be consensual. Not everyone is as high and mighty as you, always looking down on me like a little peacock.'

After everyone lay down, we didn't fall asleep right away.

"Do you think our boat is still there? What if we can't find it?" Stella sighed, thinking about our frozen boat in the snow.

"When it stops snowing, we can look for it. If we can't find it, we'll have to make another one. It'll just take more time," I replied quickly, though my voice was a bit strained because Mandy was so close to me.

Luckily, after I said this, the cave fell completely silent, and everyone quickly fell asleep.

I, however, couldn't fall asleep. Having a beautiful woman lying next to me made my heart race. But I forced myself to suppress my thoughts. If Stella or Crystal found out, I wouldn't have any peace.

I closed my eyes, trying to clear my mind of all distractions.

"Zack, are you asleep?" Mandy wrapped her arms around my waist, her familiar scent filling my nose.

I opened my eyes abruptly, looking at Mandy in confusion. She gave me a coy look and lightly tapped my forehead with her finger, whispering, "You've been working hard for everyone lately, and it's been a long time since we..."
