I thoroughly inspected the dark room, checking every corner, but in the end, I was left a bit disappointed.
The room was extremely narrow, probably only about two hundred square feet. Plus, the whole space was filled with various herbs and specimens. The stone door through which the High Priest left was the only exit from this room.
But that stone door was sealed tight, and I guessed they must have locked it when they left. There were no windows in the room, and ventilation seemed to rely on a row of small holes in the ceiling.
Feeling frustrated, I closed my eyes, realizing that there was probably no way for me to escape right now. I figured I might as well focus on healing my wounds. Once my body was fully recovered, I could find another chance to escape later.
