Katherine's words left me completely dumbfounded. It took me a while to realize that I must have been poisoned and hallucinating. I couldn't believe I had voiced my true thoughts during that time.
"It was just a misunderstanding! I was poisoned, you know. The poison caused hallucinations! Eva is much more beautiful than you! Why would I be interested in you?" I coughed and tried to explain.
"Is that so?" Katherine's eyes gleamed even colder, making her look like she wanted to castrate me on the spot.
"What happened exactly?" I worried she might hurt me, so I changed the subject, asking what had happened earlier.
Eva explained, and I understood the whole accident. When we pushed open the iron door, hallucinogenic gas had escaped from the stone room, and we had all been poisoned.
