The phone rang waking me up from my dream. The digital clock at the top displayed the time 05:35 am. My name then glanced at the caller ID and saw it was Frankie.
“Good morning Frankie, I know you were to report later in the day but would you mind covering for Angela, she will not make it today.”
“Sure Frankie,” I replied sleepily then hung up. I rubbed my eyes and got up stretching as only a cat would. I peered outside and saw it was still dark and definitely cold. I quickly prepared myself and then cursed as I remembered my car.
A hoot outside the gate made me look up and I saw a black sedan with its light on parked. My name was called and a lanky driver stepped out.
“Hi my name is Maurice, Frankie sent me to drop you off at the hotel.”
