“Maddie!”
The harsh sound of my bedroom door slamming shut sent a shock through my system. Closing the book I"d been buried in for the last few hours, I looked up to see my devastatingly handsome man stalking toward me.
“I missed you…”
The words died on my tongue when I finally met his stare, the coldness in it stopping my heart all together.
What happened?
“Is something wrong?”
I moved toward him, ignoring the tingles of worry that sparked across the surface of my skin, accompanied by the chill his demeanor was causing.
