“Mr. President,” said a young voice behind the leader. “Yes.” “I have a telex from American Air Force Intelligence in Japan that may interest you.” A lean, six-foot blonde in USAF uniform handed the president a piece of paper. “Thank you. Keep me posted.” “Yes, sir.” The young man left. The president looked the sheet over and gave it to Kolb. “What do you make of it?” Kolb eyed the contents. “Says here the Soviets are engaged in air maneuvers off their North Pacific coast for the next three days with an unidentified twin-engine delta-winged fighter.” He looked up at his superior. “You think it’s the Skyjacker?” “It’s possible. Very possible. That means they’re still building it.” “But, sir, what about our air force delegation that was invited to Siberia to witness the dismantling?”
