Chapter Twelve
Only one week of the summer season remained. Once the Labor Day holiday passed, the town would be quieter and the resort a little slower until the snowbirds started arriving in October. Sierra was looking forward to taking some time off to spend it with Phoenix.
The past couple of weeks had been a blur of stolen moments during the day and walks on the beach in the evenings. The depth of her feelings surprised her. Falling in love with her boss hadn’t been her intention, but that was what had happened. Even though he hadn’t said so, she was certain Phoenix felt the same way. His touch and passionate kisses told her so.
