Chapter Five The next morning Sierra drove into Seaside, a charming town that consisted of a main street lined with palm trees, boutiques, restaurants and hotels which led to Seaside Haven. Parked in front of Betty’s Bakery, Sierra swung out of the driver’s side of the Escalade and absorbed the town’s aura of timelessness. She loved this place as much as she did the resort. It was a nice place to catch up with the locals who frequented the town square. Sophisticated Sue Deveraux, on the other hand, fit in more with canapés and cocktails at five. She would probably find this place tacky and possibly unsettling. Sue did care about what happened to Monica’s baby and Sierra respected her for that.
