By the look in her eyes, I didn’t necessarily have to explain that to her. But he was far more dangerous now than he had ever been before. He had gone through the same training as I had. We were both killing machines. And he had a hard on for Brandy like no other.
When I’d recognized Dillan’s voice while we were in the treehouse, along with our other mutual friends, I at first thought they were here for me. Maybe, initially they had been. However, I knew how Dillan felt about Brandy. Even back in high school he hadn’t been shy about bashing her, even though he didn’t know her. He always felt she wasn’t good enough for me.
