Nate She was gone... My initial response was to panic. My heart constricted before pounding out a rapid rhythm in my chest. My breathing turned shallow. While I knew panicking wasn't an option, it was all my brain could do. I had to force myself to breathe. To block the fear. Panicking wouldn't bring her back. If anything, it would delay it if not worse. We had alarm trips put into place. We set up temporary cameras that should have alerted us to any movements around the property, especially those that were set up at every entrance and exit. Including all the windows on the first floor. Nothing had gone off. Why hadn't they gone off? Not only that, she hadn't activated her bracelet, indicating she wasn’t in danger.
