Maxine leaned closer to me, her perfume sweet and a little too strong. Her lips were so close to my ear to the extent that I could feel the warmth of her breath when she whispered.
“Act bold,” she said softly. “Make the first move if you can. And most importantly… don’t let Axel use a condom.”
