Chapter 5

It’s been two days since watching their army. I’ve spent the last two days looking out this window looking at nothing but thick concrete walls. I’m not even sure what day it is anymore. The army hasn’t had any more training, maybe it’s the weekend and they’ve gone home to their families. “Yeah right” I quietly laugh to myself. They’re probably gone off to terrorise some town. A rap on the door sounds gaining my attention. Through the opening that my meals come through a guard hands me some white fabric with a note on top of it. “You are invited to dinner, please wear this dress with your hair up neatly. -Demetrius ” I hold the dress up to take a look at it, it’s definitely not my style. It has long sleeves that are lace, whilst the bodice and skirt are a semi thick material with pleats in the skirt that reaches just below the knee. “There’s no f*****g way I’m wearing this.” Instead I go into the closet to look for something else, that’s when I see that the bag I brought with me on the plane is in here. I really thought they would’ve thrown it out. After looking through my bag I pull out a pair of black jeans with rips on the knees, as well as a black long sleeve loose fitted top. After a shower I get dressed and do the opposite of what Demetrius told me to do with my hair, leaving my long hair down with it reaching to my upper thigh. Nows the time to start mentally preparing myself for this dinner, I’m not going to show them any weakness but instead I’m going to drive them crazy. As I’m going over possible plans in my head my door opens and in steps The General. “Have you ever heard of such a thing as knocking? I could’ve been naked!” I snap at him. “Or... is that what you would’ve wanted to see?” I say tilting my head to the side. He says nothing in return but pulls out the silver hand cuffs. “Ooh kinky.” The look in his eyes tells me I should really stop messing with him. He holds out the cuffs giving them a shake gesturing for me to put my hands out. “Fine, if you insist.” I roll my eyes putting my hands out. I try my best not to flinch when I feel the burn of the silver, I’m sure my wrists will soon get used to it. He turns around and is about to walk out, I’m quick to move to my table. “Hey!” I call. When he turns around I throw the white dress at his face. “You wear it” I snap at him. He throws it to the side and grabs the chain between the cuffs and yanks me out of the room. “I can walk on my own!” I yell at him but he doesn’t listen. He holds onto the chain the rest of the walk despite me pulling and tugging it, I eventually give up trying to get it out of his grip. He leads me inside of a dining room where sitting at the head of a long table is Demetrius with Violetta on the left side of the table. I stop and stare at them but it only lasts two seconds before The General tugs on the chain pulling me forward. He pulls out the chair at the other end of the table from Demetrius, then grabs me by the shoulders and roughly pushes me down on to the chair before he goes to sit on the right hand side of the table. “General, was all of that really necessary?” Demetrius asks him. “She is... difficult” he replies. Demetrius sighs pinching the bridge of his nose. I feel slightly accomplished knowing that I got under his skin. “Namirah, welcome to—“ “This tables a little long for the four of us don’t you think?” I cut him off gaining a glare from Violetta. “Well if you like I can ask some Vampires to join us, however they only like blood” he smiles at me showing off his fangs. “And so what about you? What do you like? Raw meat? Perhaps the heart of your victims?” “I suppose it depends on my mood.” “Hmm and what mood are you in today?” “Normal food will suffice... for now.” “Wh—“ “Enough of your questions!” Violetta interrupts. “Sheesh somebodies moody today.” She narrows her eyes at me gripping on to her cutlery tightly. “What’s the matter, Violetta? Are your Masters eyes wondering somewhere else tonight?” I smirk at her flashing a wink to Demetrius. “I’m sure it must suck, not being the only woman in his life anymore. But I’m sure one day he might fulfil your fantasies... well” I look her up and down “maybe.” She slams her cutlery down on the table, her chair goes flying back into the wall breaking on impact. “YOU LITTLE b***h!” “VIOLETTA ENOUGH! Leave. Now.” Demetrius commands her. She looks back to him in shock with wide eyes, he lifts his chin to the door. Her glaring eyes don’t leave my face as she walks past me before the door slams shut. I’m absolutely positive that she could easily kill me but I know she’s not allowed to. “Well that was interesting” I say. “Don’t think I don’t know what you’re doing, Namirah.” “And what am I doing, Demetrius?” “You are trying to get under our skin, perhaps trying to cause some division between us.” “So tell me... is it working?” I say leaning forward, Demetrius smiles back. “I’m afraid not so please eat your dinner.” I put my hands up shaking the cuffs. “General if you would free her wrists please.” The General stands and walks to me but right as he gets to me I look up to him with a smile. “No need” I quickly snap the chain masking the intense pain given by the burn of the silver against my wrists. The General slams his fist on the table in front of me. “General leave her... She’s just trying to get in your head. Don’t let her.” I continue smiling at him until he returns back to his seat. Demetrius snaps his fingers, masked people walk through the side doors carrying food placing it on the table. “Now if you would ple—“ “What’s with all the mask?” I cut him off once again. This time I can see Demetrius is starting to get annoyed with me but he quickly covers it up with his usual calm poker face.. “That’s for me to know” he replies. “Do you know why, General?” He doesn’t respond as per usual. “Wait... you don’t know either? I mean come on you’re wearing one too, aren’t you’s supposed to be a team?” “Believe me Namirah he knows why now eat.” “I’m not hungry.” This time Demetrius is the one to slam his hand down creating a c***k along the table. “I can’t possibly be getting under your skin now can I?” I am no doubt going to face some sort of consequences after my antics but it’ll be worth it. Demetrius clenches his jaw while his red eyes send me death glares. “Relax...” I say to him with a smile. “Eat” is all he says then him and The General begin to eat their food. I’m certain the both of them can feel me smirking.
