Chapter 11

1926 Words
Kyron “Kyron... are you feeling okay?” My Aunt Iris asks me as I wake up. The feeling in my body comes back within seconds, I sit up with a headache. “The headache will subside shortly... how did it go?” She asks but I can’t answer yet, I’m still trying to wrap my head around everything to do with, Namirah. “Kyron...” Irina says warily walking towards me. “It’s okay...” she takes me by surprise as she wraps her arms around me in a hug. I sigh before hugging her back closing my eyes. “Well this is a sight I never thought I’d see” Zyra says. I look around the room and see all of them looking at me with worry evident in their eyes. “What’s wrong?” Dahlia asks. “Let’s go” I say before walking out. “Just give him time” I hear Irina say to the others. The drive back to the pack is silent. My mind is all over the place. As I walk into the house I go to check on my sons luckily they’re asleep so it gives me time to recoup my own thoughts. I go into my office and pour myself a glass of whiskey. I’m glad nobody’s come to bother me yet, Irina must’ve told them to leave me alone. After a while of just sitting here staring at the wall I decide I better do something about this. First I send a message to Nate and Dean. “Video call in 10 minutes, it’s important and to do with Namirah.” 5 minutes later I get a reply from Dean “Sure thing.” Then I mind-link my brothers and mother. “All family to the conference room in 5 minutes.” A few more minutes pass before Aiden walks through the door followed by Andy, my mother, Irina, Dahlia, Aunt Iris and my other witch relatives. Then on time Dean, Nate and Elizabeth video call. “Please... take a seat” I gesture to my family. “Hello, Dean, Nate, Elizabeth.” “Hello Kyron, what’s this about?” Elizabeth asks. “Just to catch you three up on things these are my witch relatives that live here in Greece. Today I had them perform a spell on me that in a way transported me to, Namirah.” “Wow that’s amazing! Could you bring her back?” Dean says. “No the spell doesn’t work like that. My real body stayed here whilst a part of me was teleported there as if it were the real me.” “Oh...” “I was able to talk to her for a few minutes whilst I was there I caught her up on some of the things that’s happened amongst us. The wars, our children. I wanted to tell her these things to some what motivate her into allowing us to help her come home. She seems to think that she can do this all on her own, that she has to do it on her own to protect us. But I wanted her to see that she needs to let us help her and with or without her permission we are going to do so anyway. But there’s also something else...” I look over to Irina, she nods at me in support. “Demetrius... He has forced her to carry his child.” Gasps fill the room, Dean and Nate have shock written across their faces whilst Elizabeth has her hand over her mouth and tears in her eyes. “If it’s any consolation he did it through IVF...” “That doesn’t make it any better” Nate says through gritted teeth. “My thoughts exactly” I reply. “I’m going to f*****g kill him” Dean growls. “As soon as that demon spawn is born we need to get her out of there he can keep the bastard for all I care” Nate says angrily. “Now, now Nate it’s not the child’s fault” his mother says. “That doesn’t matter to me, it’ll grow up to be just like Demetrius. Especially being raised by him” he replies. “The child is a boy” I say cutting off their bickering. “Oh great even better” Nate says sarcastically. “She too is worried that he might turn out just like his father so she has told me that she’s not going to leave him behind.” “Oh but she could leave the other three behind” he mumbles under his breath. “Nathaniel Knight, if you aren’t going to be of any help you can piss off” his mother scolds him. I see Andy trying not to laugh at Elizabeth’s outburst. “Not now Andy” I mind-link him and he immediately stops. Despite his memory loss he’s still just as immature as before. Nate huffs in annoyance. “I understand your frustration Nate. But it is what it is...” “So now what?” Nate asks calmly. I look to my family. “I want to do it again, I want to visit her again, I—“ “Kyron, no” my mother interrupts. “Excuse me?” I question her. “I said no.” “Mother, this visit was too short I need more time with her. I didn’t even have enough time to ask her the questions I needed to.” “And at what cost?” She says with worry in her eyes. “She’s right Kyron” Aunt Iris says. “Had it been two seconds longer the Dark Witch would’ve found you and we could have lost you.” “There are seven of you and only one of her” I say with my anger threatening to rise. “You do not understand how all magic works. You visited a place that is within her domain, we would’ve had no way of saving you had she caught you. We had to bring you back because we could feel her power growing which meant she knew there was someone else’s magic around. So I have no doubt that she will put up some magical barriers up for extra protection. And if she’s smart enough she would’ve known it was us, it will be far too dangerous.” “I would do anything for her, I would rather die trying to save her than not trying at all!” “Then leave your children without both of their parents? Your love for her is so strong that it is blinding you from thinking straight and making rational decisions. In anything else we’ll support you, but if this is what you want to do then on behalf of all of us, we will not help you.” After Aunt Iris speaks her mind the room is silent. A few minutes of silence go by. Perhaps it was something I needed to hear and I’m sure nobody else would’ve said it to me. “Fine” I reply. “Do you have any information on where she is?” Nate asks. Before I answer Dahlia cuts me off “I think I might know” she says in a soft voice. “Dahlia...” Nate says. Only now I just realised she had been hiding behind the others and out of the view of the camera. For a moment they stare at each other before Dahlia clears her throat. “Do you remember when we were looking for...” she looks to the screen “Nate, and there were all those countries?” “Ecuador... why didn’t I think of that sooner” I say as I remember back to then, my minds been all over the place between my sons, the wars and Namirah. “Do you know where you were kept?” I ask Nate. “No, until now I didn’t even know that was the country I was in.” “Are you two able to check through the records at the airport to see if that’s where she flew to?” “I already tried when she first left but there was nothing. My guess is she would’ve used a fake passport. We checked camera footage too but there were too many people and their cameras were s**t” Dean replies. “Okay... well then I guess that’s where we’ll start looking.” “What if it’s a trap?” Zyra says. “This witch, she could have a sleeve full of tricks. You don’t have any hard evidence that, that’s where she could be. This is another risk.” I know she’s right. “Risks and more risks... Sooner or later we’re going to have to take one just to get somewhere” I reply. “I’ll go” Nate says. “Maybe I or my wolf will recognise something. I never once left the inside of his compound but I might be able to recognise the walls surrounding it. Perhaps my wolf might be able to pick up some familiar scents. I don’t know but it’s worth a try.” “Nate, no” Elizabeth says. “Yes, Mother. She traded herself for me, it’s the least I could do.” “I’ll come too, maybe I could pick something up with her being my mate..” “Kyron, we just talked about you putting yourself at risk” my adds. “Don’t worry, Mom, we’ll be careful and if we do find something we’ll bring the information back first. I know it won’t be wise to just bust in there on our own.” “You promise?” “On my honour.” “Fine but I’m giving you a time limit. You have five days, you have children to worry about as well.” “Yes, Mother.” “Are yous going to take any warriors?” Dean asks. “No I think it’ll be better just us, it won’t be as noticeable if there’s only two of us compared to a bunch of us” I say, he nods in agreement. “That settles it then” Nate says clapping his hands together. I scan the room taking a look at all of my family. I point my index finger and middle finger to my two cousins, “You two are coming.” “What?!” Dahlia yells. “I’m in” Irina replies confidently. “Irina, no we-“ Dahlia starts “Oh shut up I never get to go anywhere so with or without you I’m going.” Dahlia crosses her arms in frustration and frowns at me. “I’m not saying yes but I’m not saying no. We’ll discuss it.” “Okay, other wise Zyra, Hayley one of you are coming.” “No f*****g way!” Irina snaps. “I’d rather not travel with her” Hayley replies and Zyra nods in agreement. “Goddess you women are infuriating! I’m not sure if it’s a women thing or a witch thing but whatever it is it stops now. Just for the sake of everyone’s sanity at least pretend to get along” Aiden growls at them. “Okay well I guess that’s the beginning of our plan. We’ll fly over to you in the morning, put a proper plan in place then we’ll leave to Ecuador from there” I say to Nate. “Sounds good, I’ll be waiting.”
