The few weeks that Lisa has been showing me the ways of being an AVP gone smoothly. She does it in very professional way. She didn't let our past or issues in our personal lives interfere with the way she treats me.
Her staff loves her. Well, some they literally love her. It's like being in uni again wherein girls can't stop obviously ogling at her. Who can blame them even me sometimes caught myself checking her out. Her down to earth attitude and very contagious smile is what girls are after.
I almost rolled my eyes one time when one of my staff almost tried to intentionally bumped her just to hug Lisa.
Well, anyway. She didn't brought up the Baby Mommy thing again after she said her sorry speech on behalf of her friends on my first day of work.
She's been taking me for breakfast or lunch just to show me around. Nothing other than that.
I sometimes felt that she's distancing herself from me which is I think fair for both of us.

I've been waiting for Lisa here in my office to come and pick me up for lunch which she always do. Its past 12 noon and she's still not here. I'm starving and decided to take a chance to invite her this time to go out.
I knocked on her door.
"Come in," I heard Lisa on the other side. I opened the door and saw someone inside other than her.
"Hey, Jennie. Hi, sorry wasn't able to join you for lunch. I just finished my meeting with Somi." Lisa smiled at me and I just nod.
"Somi, this is Jennie Kim. AVP of the Tax Department. Jennie this is Somi, daughter of the CEO." Lisa politely introduced to me to a younger looking lady.
Which in my first impression have a crush on Lisa the way she stares at her.
I extend my hand and she took it with a sweet smile.
"Hi, I'm Jennie. Apologies if I disturb your meeting. Its nice meeting you. I better get going." I bowed to her and motioning to go.
"Hey, no you didn't. It's not a formal meeting though. Lisa's been helping me on my upcoming examination. Asking her for some pointers and all. Are you her girlfriend?" Somi asked enthusiastically.
"Ahmm..." I can't say that I'm her ex, right?
"She's a good friend of mine, Somi. She's actually my classmate back in college," Blushing Lisa to the rescue.
Girlfriend in college.
"We passed the accountancy certification together, too." Lisa smiled at me.
Fiancé that time.
"Really? That's great! But I didn't see you around with Lisa's friends?" Somi smilingly nods at both of us.
We broke up. Years ago.
"Yeah, I just came back from Toronto."
"I see. I need to go Lisa, Jennie." Somi gets her bag.
"We still going out this weekend?" Somi kissed Lisa in the cheeks.
Oh.
Lisa looked flushed, "Ahhm... Ahh, yeah? I'll let you know."
"Alright, say hi to the rest of the circle for me!" She kissed Lisa again.
"Nice meeting you, Jennie." She smiled at when she passed by and closed the door.
Lisa just looked at me biting her lip. I remember that's her face when saying indirectly apologising to me when someone is taking advantage of her or caught in an awkward moment.
She scratched her nape nervously.
"Are you hungry? I'll take you to your favorite." She smiles at me shyly.
The would-always-make-it-up-to-you, Lalisa Manoban stylez.
My eyes lit up, "Subway?"
She nods brimming with smiles.

The rest of the day gone as it should be. I came home early as mom told me she'll be preparing dinner for us. I entered our house and smell the aroma of my favorite dish.
"Mom?" I call her and proceed to the kitchen. I hug her from the back.
"Hmmm... I bet someone is having a perfect day again. Straight for two weeks now," She teased me.
"Heeey! I just missed you." I kissed her cheek.
"Missed me or someone made you smile today again and again and again?" She turn to face me.
I smirked and sit in the dining. I'm trying to hide my blushed face.
"It's just everything is going fine in the office right now." I told her.
"Is 'everything' not a thing but a person?"
"Mom!"
Mom just nods and teasing written all over her face.

We talked about how my day went and hers. How Lisa showed me the things that needs to be done. Her taking me to restaurants and all. And other stuff.
"All I hear is my almost daughter-in-law's name." Mom not stopping teasing me.
"Mom! I work with her, ok?" I shaked my head.
I've been dying to tell her about what Chu told me. I'm almost in the brink of considering their proposal after all the assessments that I made to myself.
"Mom, are you ready to have a grandkid?" I unexpectedly uttered that made mom choked on her soup.
"W-what?" She keeps on coughing and I hand her a glass of water.
"Is Kai's wife already pregnant?" She asked again.
"No, not oppa." I sit beside her.
"With me, Mom."
I saw my mom's eyes dilated out of shock.
"Jennie Ruby Jane, are you pregnant??" Mom holds my tummy and I chuckled.
"Not yet. But I'm thinking I want to have a kid." I looked at her seriously.
"Oh, you are serious. With whom? You don't have boyfriend nor a ---" Her eyes still big.
"Lisa."
I thought her eyeballs would pop out anytime soon.
"Jennie! Wait! Are you back together again??"
I started to recount the dinner incident we had and told her everything.
"Jennie, I want you to make things right. But not in that way. I fully trust both of you that you will raise your kid very well. But how about both of you. You'll be caught in a situation that can't be avoided. Jennie, I trust you and Lisa. I know that you want to make it up to her, but are you sure?" My mom having a hard time digesting all the things I said.
"Mom, Lisa didn't know yet that I'm considering to be her Baby Mommy. And it's not just making up to her. I want to have a kid, too. As you said, you trust Lisa. So do I. We maybe not ended up together but atleast we will share something that we will treasure in common for the rest of our lives. Plus! You'll get to have a cute little Jennie for yourself."
"Jennie, you are 30 and have an adult functioning brain. I won't interfere. Just..." She sighed.
"I don't want both of you to be hurt again. And if this is really your decision, this time make it right if you can. I know that Lisa is still the only person who holds that picky heart of yours."
"I love you, Mom."
