"Deja vu." I heard Wendy and all of them looked at one another. "Jennie?" Pops stood up and hugged her. "Oh my god, Pops! I missed you!" Jennie reciprocate my dad's hug. When were together, they were really close. Jennie grew up without a dad and mine is so fond of her. Pops treated her as his own. I looked at my friends whose faces are like winning from a lottery. I walked towards them. "We're in the right engagement party, right?" Seulgi chuckling at Irene. "Is this a new series of Back to the Future?" Bam smirking. "Why are you together? Are you the husband?" Chu with a smug face. "Hahaha. The almost husband." Wendy high fived with Seulgi. "f**k all of you." I whispered so the kids won't hear my swearing. "So, really why are you with Jennie?" Bam asked me. "I run into her. In the office." "Oh! You are working in the same company? That's what you called..." Chu gasps. "Divine intervention," Chaeng smiled at me. Amen. "Well, I don't run into ex's very often, but I keep a vial of holy water on me just in case." Wendy uttered that makes us laugh. I proceed to say hi and hugged my friends wives and Chaeng. Jowen and Pam came towards me. I scooped both and kissed them. "Hey, you ADHD kids. I got lollies for you. Hide it to your mamas if you want to see Aunt Lisa alive after dinner." I whispered to them. See, I'm the Fun Aunt. The two kids nod and runaway. I kissed dad's head before taking a seat. "Oh, no. Sorry. Jennie can we switch? I'll be feeding Jowen. Joy can't move a lot these days." Wendy stood beside me and walked where Jennie is seating. This motherfucker. She hates feeding her son. "Oh, sure." Jennie without a clue sat beside me. I fixed my gazed at the kimchi in front of me. I know that everyone is silently giggling including my Dad. The dinner started with chitchats mostly asking about the details of the wedding and Jennie's life after you know... Us. But past tense. I learned that she flew to Canada week after we broke up and this is the first time that she ever came back. No husband. No wife. Jennie came back for her mom who is now living alone after her brother got married. I was also once close to her mom. I met her couple of times after but she never mentioned that Jennie flew out of the country. I'm just listening as I eat. "Aunt Lisa! Let's play, pleaaeeeese!" Bam's daughter pulling the hem of my shirt. "Sure, Pam." I lift her and put her in my lap. We're playing rock, paper, scissors and Pam's keep on laughing when she wins. "Aunt Lisa! That's not a scissor!" Pam laughed at my Vulcan Salute. "Oh, crraaaap! Really? Aunt Lisa is getting old to remember what scissor is! Pam won again!" I acted defeated. I was into our play and didn't notice that they are all watching us. "Lisa is looking for Baby Mommy, Jennie." Seulgi wriggling her eyebrows. I almost spit my water when I heard Seulgi. I put Pam down and frowned at her. "Hey! It's Chu's idea not mine and besides I haven't agree on that choice. I'm capable of finding a wife. RIGHT, POPS?" I emphasise it to my dad coz I know that these assholes will be as one to tease me. "If you say so, darling. But it's not a bad idea. You know since you can't find one for the last 8 years?" Dad who joined in teasing me, "No offense, Jennie darling." He sweetly tapped Jennie. She just nods and smiled. "Can you stop? Chaeng a little help, please? Its your engagement dinner. Why am I again in the hot seat here." I intently gazed at her hoping to save my ass. I haven't recovered from Seulgi's wedding. "Yeah, Jennie. Like she needs someone who will carry her child. No strings attached. Just co-parenting the kid." Chaeng. Another one. I sighed and shooked my head. "We're helping her out to find a perfect mother." Chu said. "That sounds fair though. Do you guys already have someone in mind that you can offer that kind of agreement?" Jennie asked. "Yes!" Seulgi, Wendy, Chu and Bam answered in unison. I furrowed my brows as I don't know who are they f*****g referring to. I'm not and never included in the discussion of this specific topic. Which is my life. "Really? That's good. Who she is?" Jennie curiously asked. The four dimwits looked at each other and grinned. Oh, no. No. This is not good. "YOU!"
