Happy Birthday?

483 Words
Allison POV I woke up to my alarm. I had set one so I can leave bright and early. Star my life as a rogue. I stretched and saw my brother on the corner of my bed looking depressed. "Alpha Hunter, good morning." He was looking the part. Black slacks, white button up with rolled up sleeves. I saw he was wearing dad's watch but I didn't comment. I know he was guessing just as much as me. I roamed around my room. Showered, brushed my teeth, got dressed, and noticed he hadn't moved an inch. "Don't you have some Alpha duties to attend to?" He handed me a tiny jewelry box. "Happy birthday." He said somberly. I handed it back to him. That was another thing the new me wasn't going to do. Celebrate my birthday. "TAKE THE GOSH DAMN BOX AL! IT'S AN ORDER" He said in his alpha tone. I coward a bit. Why all the hostility? "FINE!" I said. "I'll be leaving after breakfast. I don't want to be in the pack house anymore!" I threw the box on my vanity. "If you want to be childish, immature and plain stupid then go be alone. Our parents gave everything up for this pack and for us." He stood yelling towards me. "Who told them to do that? Who told them to die? NOBODY! They only hurt us. Do you think they even thought about us at all. They were so in love that they didn't think clearly. I'll never put myself in that situation. To have children and not think about them at all before going into battle! I understand dad having to fight as alpha, but mom?!" Who did my brother think he was talking too? I knew the truth. He could lie to himself or tell himself all these stories he wanted to. I just wanted to get out of here. "So you're just going to leave. Without learning how to shift. Just go into a world you know nothing about and live happily ever after?! You're something else. Do whatever you want. I'll be here when you come to your senses." He walked out my room and slammed the door. I wasn't planning to live happily ever after. Just alone. The way I think would be way better for my heart. I packed just a few pieces of clothing. Basic necessities and was about to leave. I turned to grab the box on my vanity on my way out. Whatever, might be worth something at a merchant shop if I needed money. Bye pack house. I didn't bother eating. I didn't want to see anybody or say goodbye. It was just me, myself and my wolf. That is whenever she decides to come out today. I walked past the entertaining room and saw the vinyl player. My eyes swelled. I never wanted to come back here.
