Now it was only the forcefield generated by the moorings that was still holding her to the orbiting space station. The entire crew were already on board. Only captain Zaneki was missing, who was awaiting the green light from the Council of Elders.

It was the Supreme Elder talking who, surrounded by the other members of the Council which was meeting in person for the special occasion, was giving final instructions for the mission. “I say cautiously because, as you well know, we can't in any way equate the test we've done to the situation you’ll face when you pass Kodon.”
