“What else then?"
“The Zenio crystal ... is in smithereens.”
"No, not the crystal," cried the Expert jumping to her feet. "But how did it happen?"
"There's a fault in the structure. It looks like a fragment of something has hit Newark, going right through it from side to side. Along the way it’s perforated the coolant container, destroyed a control board and then crashed right into the crystal’s container, shattering it."
"Do you think you can salvage it?”
“Salvage it? Are you joking? The largest piece is a few millimetres at the most.”
