Hayden's POV.
Angry wasn't enough to qualify how I felt the next morning. No woman has ever done that to me before. They would usually stay wanting more, wanting to be my woman. But this strange woman left before I could ask who she was. I had found her strange since the night before because she actually didn't dress like a s*x worker.
I asked for one as usual. Whenever I'm stressed, she comes knocking and smiles sheepishly. Immediately, I opened the door. She undressed as soon as she got in and got into bed. That was strange to me because she seemed confident and brazen. They would usually wait for my instructions, but she wasn't ready to take any.
“Don't you want to take a shower first?”, I asked her, but she stood up instead and came to me. She pressed her body to my bare chest, my body surged with fire, I felt a rush I hadn't felt with any woman. Who was she? I almost asked, but she leaned in for a kiss instead. I lifted her to bed to release the fire within me.
I almost didn't want to stop, but she was delicate. Nothing about her pointed her to being a s*x worker. I made up my mind to talk to her in the morning when her head is cleared.
Morning came and I was alone in the suite. My bodyguard said she left hurriedly. I felt such anger I haven't felt in a long time, I was filled with rage. I wanted more of her. Hey, I wanted all of her to myself all day. Just then, my eyes struck something on the bed, something she must have left behind in a hurry. A silver bracelet with diamonds on it, beneath it was a name engraved.
Aurora.
She can't be a s*x worker if she's wearing such an expensive bracelet, I thought to myself. I gave the name to my men to find her but no one in Los Angeles was the ‘Aurora’ I was looking for.
“Still haven't found any woman yet?” my grandfather said at breakfast one morning. My parents, my cousin Jake and his parents, who happened to be my Uncle and Aunt, were all present. Jake is already married with a kid, not that he was ready for it, he only did that to impress our father’s father.
“I haven't found the right one yet”, I said, ignoring the look on my mother's face. She just wanted me to settle down like Jake, but that was the truth, I hadn't found the right woman.
“I'll be eighty next month, when am I going to see my great-grandchild from you?”, he said, shaking his head. He's so keen on expanding the family tree, he has two sons who have five children altogether. Jake and I were the only males, hence the reason he wants us to have children quickly.
He was happy when Jake announced his intention to get married. He went on dates set up for him and eventually married Emily. They had a child a year later, Miley. Grandpa had hoped for a boy, but he still loved his great-granddaughter regardless.
Jake had hoped he would give him my position, but he could ignore the fact that I was a better fit than Jake.
Married or not?
“I'm not going to rush into marriage, Grandpa,I'll get married when it's time, till then enjoy your meal”, I said to him with a smile and pecked him on his head before leaving for work. No one dared talk to Grandpa like that except me. He had always had a soft spot for me since I was little.
“Any updates yet?” I asked Pascal, my chief security and friend.
“I'm afraid no, no one matches the description you gave us. Is there any distinguishing feature about her aside from her first name?” Pascal asked, clearly he was getting tired of the search but couldn't complain.
“No, that's the only thing I know about her” I said, running my fingers through my hair in frustration.
“But I mean, is she that special?” Pascal asked out of curiosity.
“I don't know man, I just need to see her one more time, I have no idea why I'm doing this either” I replied truthfully. I really have no idea.
Just then, my secretary Ava came, strutting in on her heels. Pascal winked at me and I ignored him. She gave me the document I asked for and smiled seducingly at me. She made an attempt to arrange the files on my table, actually to show me her cleavage.
“Thanks Ava," I said firmly, and she left immediately.
“I mean, there's an Aurora in front of you,” Pascal joked, which made me laugh.
“Nah man, they ain't the same” I said affirmatively.
“I had better get back to finding Aurora with no last name and picture then” Pascal said sarcastically while standing up.
“Yeah, and you better find her,” I threatened.
“Don't threaten me bro, my boys and I have got serious things to do, and we both know you can't fire me, so we’re dropping the search after seven more days” Pascal said, making his way to the door.
“Who says?” I called out after him.
“Says the CSO” he said, slamming my door.
If Pascal says seven more days, he's not going to add an hour extra to it.
“Where are you?” I asked myself quietly, staring at the bracelet.
