Mallory followed Brodie and Kruth outside to the wagon, carrying some of the food supplies with her. Ryan and Callum followed, carrying the rest of them. She smiled as she listened to Kruth telling Brodie all of what he’d been up to since they’d last seen him. After they’d chatted for a bit, while putting the items away, Mallory said, “I need to visit the apothecary. Did you want to come with me, Brodie, or are you staying here?”
Kruth interrupted Brodie when he started to reply. “I need to get back to work. The wagoner will want me to help unload his things shortly.” He clapped Brodie on the shoulder. “It was good to see you. I’ve missed all of you.”
