Mallory jumped out of the wagon ahead of Callum, who had Smudge in his makeshift sling, and Ryan. She glanced around. “Where’s Fang?”
“She’s chasing rabbits,” Brodie said. “She won’t go far.
As if the mention of her name called her, Fang came out of the undergrowth, tongue hanging out of her open mouth and looking pleased with herself.
“Did you catch anything?” Brodie patted her on the head when she sat beside him, laughing when she yipped and licked his hand. “I guess not.”
“Go now, adventurers?” Spike asked.
