Mallory laughed at her brother’s comment. “Not that it’ll help. It’s a level four spell. I need another sixty-seven XP to gain my next character level.”
“A pity we couldn’t have spent that money on XP potions,” Brodie muttered.
“Then we wouldn’t have a compact alchemist’s station,” Callum pointed out.
“I guess.” Brodie turned back to Mallory. “You should be gathering resources so you can use the spell.”
“We cleaned this area out earlier,” Mallory said.
“Then go further from the road,” Brodie said.
Mallory slowly shook her head. “I’m not going to level up tonight. You’ll just have to wait for me to be able to use the spell.”
“Tracking magelight is one of the types of spells it’s worth levelling up,” Danae said. “It doesn’t have a higher level spell for that level of brightness light.
