“Are you… are you…” Eric stammers.
It’s been about two minutes of this, but who cares. I am loving it. This may be my last announcement of this kind for the rest of my life. I was already living my dream. Then, Eric came along. Now, I’m living two.
“Pregnant?” Matthew finishes the sentence for him.
I nod my head with a smirk. “Yep. I just found out and had it confirmed at the doctor last week. I scrambled to find these in time actually.”
“Congrats, Jenny! I really am happy for you.” Matthew picks me up in a bear hug and swings me around in a circle on our living room rug. He genuinely seems happy, which allows me to finally feel the happiness of the news seep into my own bones.
