Valerian stood rooted on the spot for hours,his heart thumping loudly in his chest. He should have let go. He should have stopped holding on to pain that wasn't really there anymore. He should have tried to learn more about his new mate,learnt to love her,gotten over all their differences. Now she was leaving him,and he didn't have the heart to tell her to stop.
