29 Cade Cade waited for three hours, but Lily never came back. He’d never seen her like that before—picking fights and freaking out over nothing. What the hell was that appointment about? When she’d told him she had a quick appointment, he didn’t think much of it. Now, Cade realized he should have dug deeper. It wasn’t like Lily to keep secrets. Had she gone to talk to Elijah?
