I couldn't shake of the words Liam's dad threw at me . Blaming me for his wife's brave actions . I guess he was tired of losing people due to my family .
They were looking for me and it was down to me to solve this situation. I got too distracted.
So that night I decided to leave without anyone knowing. After dinner I helped Liam's mom with the dishes and went to bed. When everyone fell asleep I made my way down stairs. I walked out of the front door but before I left a voice said " You're dumber than I thought.You're decisions are lead by emotions . That's very dangerous. Katt if you do this you'll break my son's heart. Get yourself killed and ruin everything for your parents survival. Your dad is almost dead , slowly dying. Your mom is being starved and your cousin . Well let's not talk about her. Look all I'm saying is that I'm taking control of this situation Katt. You're nothing . You have no power , money or status. You think that the world would listen to some social media influencer has been. NO ! These people don't play nice Katt. But do what you want. Try and play hero . Go on Katt. Go !" He turned around and walked back to his room.
I felt so dumb for getting caught.
The next morning was so awkward. Liam was sleeping in , sick. His mom was taking care of him since I couldn't go into his room. So it was just me and Liam's dad.
" what's wrong Katt? Feeling stupid for getting caught or were you sleep walking ?"
" I don't know what to do okay. My family is gone and I felt some type of way after what you said to me yesterday. I definitely felt like an outsider. Putting your precious family in trouble. I care about them too and wouldn't want to hurt them . I thought that if I went through with my plan I could atleast keep trouble away from the family. "
He felt bad . I could see it in his eyes . He stood up . Looked at me for a few good seconds and asked me " What do you have that could help?"
" Enough to throw all of them off their high horses and put them behind bars"
" With that said let's get started. I'll help you Katt but you can't try and do things on your own . Dear that won't get you anywhere. Just remember that. "
I followed him to his study and we worked for hours. Liam's mom coming in now and then to help and give us snacks . Then go back to tend to Liam.
" Katt this is what we're looking for. But we need the hard copy of this information. "
I called Mrs.Glass and asked for her to send it to me. I sent her the address and after three working days it arrived.
Liam's dad took a look at it. Grinded and said " We got them. Those suckers will pay for everything they did to you , me and everyone they've hurt . Are you ready Katt?"
" Ready for what ?"
"It has just begun Katt . You ready to get to wrap this party up."
We then got his lawyers involved and news broadcasting companies he had connections with. He told them when and where to broadcast it. After four months atleast.
When we left the lawyers office I noticed a man . He looked just like the man looking for me. He walked past us . In a suit . I showed Liam's dad that , that's the man looking for me and the man who attacked me at Chantel's place. He scanned the man and said " Okay let's get you out of here first . I'll deal with him later."
We drove off and I couldn't help but think why this man was working at Liam's dad's lawyer's office. I felt uncomfortable all of a sudden. Was he really over the family feud?
When we arrived at home Liam was all better. I ran into his arms and didn't want to come out of it. It was the only place I felt safe. He then asked "what's wrong whiskers? Missed being around me that much or did dad scare you ?" he laughed and kissed my forehead.
Liam's dad got off the phone and said
"She saw the guy who tired to kill her. He works in the same office my lawyers do. He is a new employee. This guy is smart but money is smarter. I'll get him fired this instance."
He stormed off and I became less anxious. Liam's mom came in and said " want to have a spa day?"
"yes!"
Went to the spa with her and I've never felt more relaxed . I liked this feeling.
" So ... Where do you want to get married? When and do you have a dress ?"
" I don't care where we get married . As long as I'm with him I'm happy. We're getting married after six months . It gives us more time to feel like boyfriend and girlfriend who just got engaged.I also hope that my parents could make it to my wedding. That, that would be the one important event they could come to . We can plan the wedding and get my dress together with Mrs. Glass. "
We spoke about the wedding and I explained who Mrs Glass was while getting massages. After getting our massage we then watched a movie. A horror movie. It felt like a teenage sleep over. Snacks , blankets , face masks , nail polish, pranks and gossip. No boys allowed. We braided hair, painted nails and played games .
After watching the movie, I asked her a question " how did you meet your husband?" something I wanted to ask mom .
"We were young. I was a waitress and he was a Greek God . Just kidding. I was the maids daughter. I meet him at a college party and he was one of the mysterious jerks at the school but I could see right through him . He liked me. Back then he was a hard shell . Rude and cocky . But I broke that shell and saw a soft hearted gummy bear. He took me out and we spent everyday together. When he took me to his house and introduced me to his parents I saw my mom. She was furious. She didn't know I was even dating and wanted me to focus on my studies . In order to become rich not marry rich like she did. My dad left her once he she was pregnant. I didn't know him . So she feared that the same would happen to me . I finished my studies . Became rich on my own. I'm a business owner and have shares in many companies. Bought my mom a house and gave her an early retirement. Marrying Liam's dad was just a bonus. "
