Chapter 9

I wake up to a loud noise, I quickly get up to see if someone broke in or something, I go to the window and see it's John leaving in angry.

Why is he always so angry and rude, is that for every guy now.

I get away from the window and go to Lucy's home, she was fast asleep. After I was completely I left her a note on her bedside.

Lucy

Don't forget I have the keys, so before leaving make sure you have everything and make sure the lights and everything is turned off.

I will be back at 10

If you need to get back in the house, call me.

Cathy

I leave the house and wait for the bus, and after minutes late I was in college.

I look for isbelle, I texted her multiple times but no answer.

'Nothing' I said as my back hits the chair.

'Let's go to Greg or hers today' Chelsea suggested as I shake my head to agree with her.

'What if' before I could finish she stops me.

'No what ifs, no bad thinking, she's isbelle she's strong' she said.

'That's true remember when she kicked your ex for laying a finger on you, and mine when he cheated on me' I said as we both laugh.

'She's a true badass' she said as we agree.

'Hey girls miss me' a sound echoed in our ears, it didn't take long to realise its isbelle.

We both hug then slap her arm.

'Ouch that's not fair' she said.

'You deserve it, where the hell were you' I said as we all sit down.

'A getaway with Greg' she said.

'And he didn't kill you, or harmful that must a achievement for him' Chelsea said as I laugh at her and I get hit by isbelle then Chelsea gets hit again.

'Ouch' me and Chelsea let out.

'He's changed guys' she said as she seems truly sincerelly.

'Okay fine' I said.

'Why didn't you tell me you the reason you really left that night' I asked as the room suddenly feels intense.

'What do you mean' she said.

'That you left with Greg and left with me a stranger' I said as she looks kinda pissed and confused st the same time.

'Who told you' she asked.

'That's all you say' I said as I get up and walk away.

'Cathy' Chelsea said coming after me.

I was struggling whether to ask her and discuss why she did what she did but she rather continue to lie to face then face the truth.

'Just hold up' isbelle said as I stop, we're in the hallway, we're surround by few students they property think there's going be a fight as to why they are staring.

'I didn't tell you what really happen that night was because it's the first night he showed up, and I didn't want you the drunk you to be dragged along for no reason, he begged me to give him a chance and I knew John so I thought he was the safe option' she said.

'Next time sober up like I would've sober you up then gave you an option , isbelle what if he was a killer or a r****t or something' I said as I turn to look at her.

'I would never leave you with a stranger, because ' she said as my eyes stay frozen.

'How is that any better being Greg's brother is no better, don't forget the amount of bruises  you got from Greg the next time you feel John is any better' I said.

'Why are you so hateful towards him' she asked.

'Because he makes girls feel like they not worth s**t' I said as I bite my upper lip to prevent from crying.

'What did he do' she asked.

'I think it's better if we stay away from each other, you pick Greg clearly you didn't think about me' I said walking away from.

'Cathy' Chelsea said as she stands in front of me.

'It's wrong what she did, and we were all friend since babies' she said.

'And I didn't think it took a greg for her to leave me with a stranger under the influence' I said.

'And him being Greg's brother doesn't make him any less a stranger, and any better than greg' I said as I tried to walk to side but she follows my move.

'Chelsea please drop it' I said.

'Well were not drop, I'm going over tonight' she said as she lets me walk past.

After I was done with lessons and also tried my best to not get stuck in by isbelle apologists, I hide in the library, half of the time when they are not in college I would go to the library and read it's my favourite part.

Today I'm taking out pride and the prejudice, I have read it like a thousand times and everything it's even more exciting.

I was late for work.

I really had to rush, I was late 10 minutes it's not bad compared to other times.

I quickly go behind the bar, I left my bag at the end of the bar table, that was few doors away from johns office.

I quickly go and grab it and my book drops, as I was about to pick it he gets to t first.

He doesn't fully get up, he flips the book, as now he sees the cover.

'Pride and prejudice didn't take you as a reader' he said.

'Shows how little you know me' I said.

'It's my favourite book' June says.

He gets up and hands me the book.

'Maybe you should pay attention to his exact words Catherine, After all a lady's imagination is rapid' he says as he leaves the bar.

What did he mean by that.

'What the hell' Samuel said.

'I'm as lost as you' I said.

'Don't think too much in to it, guys like him get fun of out messing with people' June said.

'That's your boss june' Samuel said as me and June laugh.

'Like you Havant said worst or even thought worst' she said as we both get out behind the bar and serve drinks, it's football season so a lot of customers came and serving behind the bar wasn't enough.

'Does he own his place' I asked June, she was here before me and Samuel so she would know the most.

'No not exactly, he's father is away for business so he's running it until he comes back and goes back to teachering' she said as I grab a hold of her arm.

'What did you just say' I asked her as she smiles.

'He teaches, he use to teach at Cambridge then he left due to this situation so he might go back to that after he's father returns' she informs me.

'Holy crap, I liked not knowing a single thing about him' I said.

'You sure, what happening you think and feel towards him, forget about it' she said as I let her go.

'Why do you say that' I said.

'Because you will get hurt at the end and he will leave happy' she said.

'I don't like like him, I don't know what it is' I tried to explain.

'Well try me' she said as we go to the toilet and make sure no one is in here.

'Everytime he's inches or feet's away, I want him and I can't control it, this has never happened to me, and I'm sure he knows because he leaves me hanging half of the time' I said.

'It could be lust' she says.

'Perfect' I said as I rub my fingers through my hair.

'I said it could be, but I like you cathy, and trust me when I say he's not worth a think, just like you would be when it comes to him' she said.

Everyone says he's danger, that I should be careful and that he would hurt me if I continue to let him or my self kiss him, but why aren't they telling me the real reason, why should I be carefull? What does he done that I should stay away.

We leave the toilet, and I saw him go inside his office and shut the door.

'John genovese' a girl with blonde hair entered the bar, she was well dressed like the riches.

She constantly knocks on his office door.

'Hi how can I help you' I said going over to her.

'By getting your boss to open this god damm door' she says as she bangs her palm into the door.

'And is there a reason that makes you different to the customer' I asked.

'Yes I'm his girlfriend' she said as I stood frozen, it took a while for me to snap it, she was staring at me weird.

'Yes I will go get him' she says as she walks away and takes a seat.

'John it's me' I said, I don't think she knew he first door was open, I won't call her dumb. I open it and walk the stairs and up to his office, I push it open and he's sitting on his chair, minding his business.

'Your girlfriend is downstairs' he shoots uo from his seat.

'Didn't you hear the knock and shouting' I said.

'This room is sound prove' he said as I realise I didn't hear the music, and the music was loud.

'You truly are mystery' I said as he smiles.

Then he walks down the stairs, followed by me. As soon as she sees him she shoots up from her seat, and walks to him, she places a slap across his face.

She wanted to go for a second one, but he grabs her.

'lo guarderei se fossi in te' he said speaking in Italian.

I didn't know he spoke in Italian

That's because you don't know him, GET OHER HIM, YOU CANT CHANGE HIM

'John your threading me after you cheated on me' she said as she tried to slap him again.

'We were never together Josephine' he said as he lets her arm go.

'You didn't say anything' she said.

'You just assume, it didn't have a energy or the time to break it down for you' he said with no emotion, he doesn't even care, if she died in front of him.

'I should've listened to people when they wanted me about you' she said.

He says nothing, he rubs his jaw and goes upstairs.

'That's Your lesson' June says as we go back to the job.

He truly was out for himself and no one else, he deserves to be alone, no one should have control over someone's heart like he did, it adds to his power.

Chelsea didn't show up after she said she was, it didn't worry me. Honestly I need my alone time, too think.
