Kai offered a small smile and a hand to his shoulder. “I know you love your brother, Ethan, and Amelia is your friend. They don’t deserve whatever is going to happen here. Whatever is going to happen with your father. And really, you worry about everyone else’s safety, these were two people I could take care of for you.”
