Loraina passed LJ to Max quickly. “Get upstairs and hide.”
“What? What about you?!”
“Just go! Keep LJ safe!” Loraina pushed them all toward the stairs and ran to the front door where Brady wrestled with the demon.
“Brady!” she screeched. She took a deep breath. She hadn’t used her magic much since she got it back, but started feeling it take over. Loraina concentrated as best she could while Brady wrestled with the demon on the floor. Brady shifted into his wolf, tearing toward the demon’s throat, but was too late.
