A glowing line of light divided the sky from the land when Crow rode into camp. The men had the pack animals loaded, and the campfires were being extinguished. Stump and Tala walked over to Crow. Stump said, “Your kit is packed, we should be ready to leave.” “I "preciate that. You ready to go home, Tala?” “I am plenty ready. So many people make me nervous.” They mounted up with Crow and Tala taking the lead. They struck out towards the Yellowstone. Crow and the men traveled fast but rested their horses often. The weather was good. It felt good to be back to a place where trees grew and there was plenty of grass for the horses.
