Summer We walked out of the house and I saw you instantly. I have never felt so relieved in my entire life knowing that I was this close to being free and safe. All we needed to do was get out of California and work with the police to figure out what the next step would to make sure this is over. One look into your eyes and I knew I would be okay. I didn’t care at the moment what happened, I just needed to be in your arms. I ran and jumped and wrapped my legs around your waist as I buried my face into your neck. Your embrace was tight, home, as you held me close to you and twirled me around like it was the first time we’ve seen each other in years. You kissed me, your sweet lips fit perfectly on mine and when you broke away, you leaned your forehead against mine and cried. We both cried
