Sheila’s POV The door closes behind me with a dull click. For a moment, that is the only sound. That small, final sound that makes it real. It echoes through the quiet, settling somewhere deep inside me like a truth I do not want to face. My dorm room feels too small tonight. Too quiet. The air is thick and heavy, like the heat from him followed me here, clinging to my skin, caught in the fabric of my clothes.
