~Camelia POV~ Soft music played through the hall as guests danced in pairs, while others stood in small groups, talking and laughing over drinks. Waiters moved between them with trays, and the room carried that steady mix of conversation, music, and clinking glasses. I stepped further in, scanning the room for Luke. I knew I must’ve already ruined part of his plan by arriving late, but it was better to show up in a dress that didn’t look like I’d fled a wardrobe disaster than to come in looking completely rough.
