Aliyah walked cautiously to the door with the broom grasped tightly in her hand. The man's silhouette seemed to shift from foot to foot, impatient. Another hard knock resonated through the room. This time it was followed by a voice. “Hello? Aliyah, are you there?" It was Mayor Cursor. Aliyah relaxed and set the broom down before opening the door. “Sorry, I wasn't expecting anyone." The mayor looked down with understanding. “Right. I'm sorry if I frightened you for a second. I should have called or something." Aliyah gave him a tight-lipped smile.
