Library

“When I grow up I want to have my own bookshop” a four year old Freya announced to her mom and aunt.

“Why would you have a bookshop? You can have your own library. Ariana beamed to Freya.

“Why a bookshop and a library?” Their mom asked them.

“We love books,” they both sang in unison.”

Ariana jolted up from her memory and realized she was about to fall asleep on the couch. Even though Ariana told Anthony not to come, she was still looking forward to meeting him that evening. She was disappointed and relieved at the same time. She went to her bedroom and put on some pajamas. She's lying on her bed as she recalled her memory once again.

“We love books”

“That's it “ she needs to go to Crescent Moon pack, they have this old and big library in the city, if Freya still loves books then she definitely should go there. Ariana felt ecstatic, she had now a plan to find her sister. No one could stop her in finding her sister.

The next morning she woke up, took a shower, put on a blue shirt and blue jeans. Ariana went into the kitchen and took some bread and butter. After breakfast she went to visit her mother and father’s grave.

“Thank you for being a loving parent to me. I will never forget the two of you, you made me feel safed and loved for almost 12 years. I hope you two are happy and together now with our Moon Goddess.

She left her parent's grave and took a bus to the city which is located in Crescent Moon. It was her first time in the city and it took her many hours before she found the building. She went first to the store on the other side to buy a bottle of water. As she went into the library building, she heard two female voices about to go out on the other door. Ariana went to look at the children's book. She took the Cinderella book and held it into her chest as she remembered her mom reading it to her and Freya. She was about to put back the book when a piece of paper fell out.

Ariana was looking around, she ran to the information desk to borrow a phone and dialed the number, it rang many times but no one answered. She sat near the entrance door to be able to see the people who went in and out. After three hours of sitting there, she got tired and hungry so she decided to go home to Bluewater. It was already dark when she came to her cabin.

“Aria, thank the Goddess, you are ok”, Anthony soothed as he hugged her.

Ariana was taken aback by Anthony’s arm wrapped around her. It felt warm and comforting,she could feel a connection had been forged between them. She could feel his strong emotion,he's worried and afraid. “Afraid of what?”, Ariana thought as she tried to wriggle herself from Anthony.

“What are you doing here? “ she asked

“I'm sorry”,Anthony breathed out as he ran a hand through his ruffled hair.

“Anthony, why are you here?”

“I said, I would come to ensure you're ok, but I was sent by the alpha to Crescent Moon and “ Anthony hinted.

“I already said, you didn't have to”.

Ariana opened her door and went inside. She closed the door as Anthony stood outside, she couldn't allow herself to give in to her desire. There’s nothing good would come out of it, he will be an Alpha someday and she is a witch with her own course of life. She heard a knock on the door.

“Go home Anthony “, she called.

“Open this door rogue!” an angry voice called. Ariana knows well whose voice it is. She opens the door, as Brianna storms in seething with anger.

“You,slut!” Brianna screeches as she slapped Ariana on the face.

Arianna felt ache on her left cheek after the impact.

“You seduced my brother!” Brianna accused.

“What?” She looked up at Brianna and was confused.

“Don't deny it!" “ I saw everything! You stay away from my brother, you are an omega, a rogue, you don't belong to be with someone like my brother! Stay away or you will not want to know what I will do to you.” Brianna threatened and left Ariana's cabin. She locked her door and went to her bathroom. She saw the reddening of her cheek with Brianna’s handprint on it. She splashed some cold water on her face to ease the pain.

“You don't know what I am capable of Brianna” Ariana thought.

She avoided Anthony for weeks not because of Brianna’s threat but because of the growing feelings she had for him. It was not an easy task, she'd noticed Anthony all around her, like he was following her and ensuring she was safe. In a couple of days she will turn seventeen and will get her familiar and magic, she thought. She will leave this pack and find Freya.
