Chapter 6

Protect her

Anthony had been following Ariana in a distance, he couldn't get her out of his mind. He wanted to be near her and protect her. He was drawn to her like a magnet and the feeling was getting worse everyday. He knew her birthday was getting closer. She may not be eighteen yet but since he got Dean at his seventeenth birthday, he knew that Ariana was hiding something and that she's special.

“She’s like us” , Dean told him in their mind sharing.

“Maybe, maybe more “, He said

“Remember the girl we bumped into a couple of weeks ago?" "Freya ?” Dean reminded Anthony.

“Ya, how can I forget?

“ She had the same necklace as Ariana had,” Dean pointed out

“What are you talking about?

“Oh, right you’re so busy admiring her beauty that you didn't noticed the necklace around her neck”, Dean stated

“Dean, you're talking nonsense, I didn't see a necklace on Freya nor on Ariana”.

“Hmm, interesting, I could see it but you couldn't? “ Dean implied.

Anthony wonders what it means, both Freya and Ariana have the same feature, and have the same necklace. If what Dean said he saw was true, it could only mean they are connected.

A sister?

He shall talk to Ariana but what will he say to him? Hey, by the way I've met your sister? He was so lost in his thoughts when he felt a tag on the pack's mind connection, it means someone was trying to mindlink him. He opened the connection as his father’s voice boomed.

“Come to my office right now”. He heard his father’s commanding voice in his head. Anthony was on his way out so he took a turn to the alpha's office. He knocked twice and then opened the door. He went in and closed the door behind him as he scrutinized his eyes to his father’s face. His father’s nostrils flared as he stared at him.

“What had you told the King!”His father’s voice boomed inside the office.

“What do you mean?”

“Don't play games with me boy, or someone you care will pay!” His father said.

“I don't know what you mean father?” Anthony tried to lie.

“The King doesn't approve my renovation proposal of our school and infirmary, instead he will send someone here to evaluate the situation. And I know you had something to do with it! “His father accused him.

“I didn't know about your proposal father. And why would you want to renovate those buildings when they are perfectly usable in my opinion?” he retorted.

“I know you had something to do with this! I may not be able to punish you physically, but know this, I have many different methods on punishing people who oppose me.” He threatened Anthony once again.

He left his father’s office full of determination. Anthony couldn't allow his father to destroy more lives like he had done to his mother and his real father. At his seventeenth birthday when his wolf Dean had surfaced,he had discovered that Alpha Eddie Black was not his real father. That he was not his mother’s true mate. Anthony's mother had left him a journal hidden with witch magic and only he could find it.

He hopes that, with the help of the King and his men, he will successfully stop Alpha Black and he will pay for what he has done.

Anthony knows that to ensure Ariana’s safety,he must be careful. He shall not show to someone that he cares for her, he will look out for her from afar. He is sure now that Ariana is his.

“What about Freya? Dean asked

“What about her?"

“She could be ours too”. Dean voiced out.

“We felt drawn to her, remember? Not so much like Ariana but”, Dean continued.

“Enough with your nonsense crazy wolf, it could only be because they are related. I love Ariana not her sister or whatever connection she and Freya had. End of discussion.” Anthony cut off the connection between him and Dean.

He mindlink Danny to meet outside to talk. Danny came a minute later.

“Hey, what's up?" Danny asked as he approached him.

“I need to talk to you, do you know some place where we can talk without anyone listening”,he asked Danny in a low voice.

“We can go to our apartment, mom and dad are coming home in the evening, so we will be all alone.” Danny suggested

“What are you whispering about?” a high pitch voice of Brianna called behind them. Danny smiled at Brianna.

“I just offered Anthony here to have an alone time with me in my room”, Danny blurted.

“What will the two of you be doing together alone?” Brianna asked.

“It’s not of your business Bri”, Anthony snapped

“Don't worry Bri, I would satisfy your brother to an extent.” Danny said as Anthony looked horrified. Danny is a bisexual and everyone in the packs knows it. Brianna furrowed her eyebrows in disgust,and left. Danny laughed as he looked at Anthony's horrified face.

“Don't worry man, you are not my type”, as he clapped Anthony's shoulder.

Anthony breathed out. "Good to know”.

Anthony told Danny what his father was angry about. He also told him all the threats he threatened. Danny is one of the wolves who didn't like how the Alpha led their pack, the low salary, the mistreatment of omega and letting some warriors sexually harass other members. Danny understood Anthony, he promised to help him protect Ariana. If she is Anthony’s mate, then she will be her Luna and it is his duty to protect her.
