Chapter 13

Moonrise Palace

Anthony told Ariana what had happened when she was in a coma.

He would be in Crescent Moon for a year but how about her, what would happen to her? Where would she live?

Anthony sat beside her and wrapped his hand around her.

“Don't worry,we can come up with something.” She slightly turned her head and looked at him.

“How did you know what I am thinking?” She asked

“I am an attentive mate”, he teased and kissed her on the lips. Ariana moaned as she deepened the kiss.

“Um hum”

They broke up their kiss and turned as they met Alex who stared at them with raised eyebrows. Ariana blushed and hid her face into Anthony’s chest.

“Hi, we have not been introduced formally, I'm Alex Whitlock.” Alex reached out his hand to Ariana, at the moment their hand touched Ariana let down her shield to see a glimpse of Alex memory. She gasped and stared at him.

“It was you!" “She'd save you.” Ariana grumbled.

“What?” Alex asked as he pulled his hand back.

“Nothing, forget it, it's not my story to tell.” She rambled, Anthony cupped her cheeks.

“Love, what is it?

“Nothing. Please don't ask me more?” She pleaded.

Freya came with papers in her hand and scanned the room.

“Are you ready to go? Freya asked cheerfully. Ariana got up from the bed and was about to take her bag when Anthony took it. They took the elevator to the basement where Alex parked his car. It's a Mercedes-Benz, Ariana recognized the logo, but she could not point out what model it was. Freya sat in the passenger seat while she and Anthony sat in the back seat. Anthony put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer to him. She leaned her head into his shoulder. She missed him.

“I missed him too”, Hecate chimed in.

“And I will miss seeing you in your human form.” She said to Hecate. She was in a coma for almost a month, but for her it feels like years she was in there with only Hecate she could talk to.

It brings them closer like sisters.

She noticed the car stop and she lifted her head from Anthony’s shoulder and looked outside from the car window. Her jaw dropped as she saw the huge magnificent palace in front of them. It was built of stones of varying sizes and shapes. It has a grand architecture design. Anthony stepped out from the car and went to open the door for Ariana as Alex did for Freya.

“Welcome to the Moonrise Palace” Freya beamed.

“It's huge”

“No it is not if you compare the different palaces you see on TV in the human realm.” Alex indicated.

“Ya, I could see that the packhouse is more of a palace compared to this building”, Anthony stated.

“After the incident with my aunt and the murder of the alpha family in your pack, the King had to rebuild the packhouse. We do social gatherings and meet guests at the packhouse. The palace is for the elders,royals and high rankings such as betas and gammas. Only the trusted one and had no ill intentions can pass the barrier protecting the palace.” Alex revealed.

“Wow” Ariana whispered as her eyes scanned the surroundings.

Alex and Freya lead them to the palace hall through the heavy metal door. An expensive chandelier hanging above their head. The hall was bright and clean, it smelled of roses. Two grand stairs meeting on the next floor and then the next. Ariana was in awe.

“I can arrange a tour for you and Anthony after you settle down in your room” Freya suggested.

“Why don't we show them by ourselves tomorrow, like a double date.” Alex commented. Freya turned her head to Alex.

“Is that how you would ask a girl to have a date with you?” She teased as Ariana and Anthony made a coherent sound to hide their amusement. Alex grumbled as he blurted.

“Would you want to go with me on a date?”

“Dude, what have you done with Alex Whitlock? The famous playboy in the pack?” Fredrick called from upstairs. Alex's ears were red of embarrassment.

Ariana nudged Freya and whispered.

“ You should say yes.”

Queen Alexandra came out from the kitchen and saw them and exclaimed.

“Why are you still standing here? Go put your things in your room and freshen up. Lunch will be served shortly.”

Ariana looked at the Queen with bewilderment. She thought Queens were just sitting on the throne and waiting for someone to serve them. But when she saw Queen Alexandra coming out from the kitchen with an apron over her dress, she thought wrong. She was happy for the King to meet a remarkable mate like Queen Alexandra. Freya showed hers and Anthony’s bedroom. It was on the second floor on the Beta's wing. The room had a large gorgeous bed in the middle. A floor length window overseeing the vast forest outside. The walls were painted in light blue color. There were two doors connecting the room. Ariana went to open one of the doors as she stared in awe. A large bathroom with a shower and a jacuzzi. Almost all necessities they needed were there.

“Are you ok with this?”Anthony asked her. She turned around and put her arms around his neck and kissed him.

“I missed you” she murmured

“I missed you too, Aria. You don't know how distressed we were, me and Dean.” Anthony took a deep breath.

“If you want to have your own room, we can ask your sister about it after lunch. Anthony implied. She raised her eyebrows and looked at Anthony.

“Do you want me to move to another room?”

“No! It's not what I mean, Aria. I ..” Ariana laughed.

“I know what you mean, I was just teasing you Anthony. It doesn't matter which room I'll be staying in, the one that matters is you are with me.It was just twenty seven days I had been sleeping in the hospital bed but it feels like a year for me and Hecate in there. I don't want to waste more time of my life contemplating what I want, I don't want to be patient anymore. I am not an omega, I am a witch. Me and Hecate want you and Dean to be ours forever.” She announced to Anthony. He kissed her passionately, the heat of the moment, the rush of desire they felt as their tongue fighting for dominance. They broke the kiss to catch some breath.

“ We need to stop or we won't make it for lunch.” Anthony whispered into her ear, his breath tickled and sent a shivering sensation into her lower part. She stepped away from him.

“You're right, I'll go take a quick shower”. She said and Anthony left the bathroom, she took off her clothes and stood under the shower. When Ariana was done, Anthony went in. They were standing outside their room when Freya came to take them to the dining hall.
