Ethan returned to the bedroom to find Gina sprawled at one end of the bed. He glanced furtively at her before exiting into the bathroom. He had his bath and returned to the room wearing blue shorts and a white singlet; he picked a blanket and lay on the couch. Suddenly, he felt a prick of guilt on his chest. He regretted speaking angrily to her. The last time he saw fear in her eyes was when she woke up in the hospital bed. Since that day, he had sworn to be her protector and to shield her from anything that could cause her fear. From that moment on, his heart was drawn to her. He turned his gaze toward her sleeping form; she looked peaceful in a mini spaghetti strap dress. Slowly, his eyelids grew heavy, and he drifted into a restful slumber. He awoke to the sound of loud sneezing.
