She was running and also looked behind to be sure that no one was on her trail. Her eyes were still behind her as she ran into the road. It was an eerie, chilly dark night. The road was lonely only the tiny glimmers from the streetlights illuminated the road. She ran slowly, trying to catch her breath. She wasn't watching. As soon as she turned around the blinding headlights from an incoming Chevrolet car shone into her eyes. She stood transfixed at a spot with hot sweat trickling down her face. She wrapped her hands around her stomach, taking slow breaths. The car was only an inch away from her when she released a sharp shriek sound and fell to the ground.
